Swimming Pool Child Admission Policy |

All children under the age of 8 years must be accompanied
A responsible person aged at least 16 years must accompany all children under the age of 8 into the swimming pools. They must go into the water with the children they are accompanying. Whilst in the pool the responsible person must maintain a constant watch over the children for whom they are responsible and be in close contact with those of their children who are weak or non-swimmers.

Children under 4 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible person on a one-to-one basis.
Children aged between 4 and 7 years must be accompanied by a responsible person on a maximum two-to-one basis.
Parents/carers who are accompanying must ensure non swimmers wear suitable armbands or floatation aids.

Learner and Leisure during programmed sessions.
Does not include flumes, spas or raging river.

Children aged between 3 months and 7 years must be accompanied by a responsible person on a two-to-one basis.
Parents/carers who are accompanying 2 children under 8 years must ensure non swimmers wear suitable armbands or floatation aids.

Where the supervision or age criteria have not been met entry to the pool will be refused.
